might be found within, in-between, above

and/or beneath.

In my photographic work, I am often concerned with finding and depicting a reality that appears abstract, be it through a complex combination of several motifs, direct, indirect, or in combination (for example through reflection photography), a targeted selection of a motif section (macro/telephotography, cropping during image development) or simply only by observing, finding, and mapping from a point of view that is in principle possible for everyone.

It is also important to me that photographs only need minimal technical post-processing - that is, they do not require more development work than was possible and necessary with analog/film-photography. Why? Because I find it much (much!) more exciting to be out there, in contact with the photographic objects and take pictures, then to spend time on the computer - call it “digital laziness”, maybe. Very often, I come back to the same place over a period of many months (sometimes years) to catch the right light, the most exciting staging for a picture.

Having said the above, some works - e.g., in "transformations" - are the results of a massive "digital abuse" of pictures and computer processing capability and power. Exciting details suddenly can be observed in individual pictures, not recognizable by regular human vision ... but maybe other observing creatures, with other colour schemes and bandwidths.
